Nature never goes out of Style!

Bryce Canyon 2007

Bryce Canyon 2007

We’re Eric & Terri Beernink from Tieton, Washington. We’ve been together for 9 glorious years! Our love of nature is a tremendous bond. We’ve been to alot of places, but so far Utah has become our favorite; or at least mine. Our first trip to this beautiful state was in April 2007 and it captured my soul. The beautiful landscapes in southern Utah are like no other.  I have tried to describe it many times through stories and pictures, but alas I have come to realize that a person has to see it for themselves to capture its true essence.  We love to hike, ATV, and in the last few years we have become Jeep enthusiasts. We have a ’94 Wrangler-yj, which we are taking on this trip. Our 2007 trip, we rented a jeep and conquered Hells Revenge and Fins and Things in Moab. We took our ATV’s on the last trip also and were about the only people out on the Piaute trail; a must for any person who loves to ATV. The trails are marked perfectly and you have hundreds of miles of them to choose from. The towns are ATV friendly; which means you will see your ATV’s driving right along side your family cars. Absolutely awesome! Zion National Park was phenominal, but not for the casual hiker if you hike The Narrows. We went about 3 1/2 miles up into the Narrows after being outfitted for walking in the water; which is what you’ll be doing for 99% of this hike. Amazing adventure!! Bryce Canyon is like waking up in a fairytale, complete with castles. Every where you turn are land formations which look like castles only little gnomes or fairies could inhabit. Reminds me of something out of a Lord of the Rings movie.

Finally, we are now on our way back for another – much anticipated - trip and this time we’re taking our two favorite people Wes & Lori Morris from Naches, Washington. It is going to be so awesome to share this with them – all our favorite sites we had the chance to visit in ’07 and to see new sites together – for they are big fans of all things Nature as well.

Our last trip included stops in:

  • MOAB
  • ARCHES NATIONAL PARK
  • BRYCE CANYON
  • ZION NATIONAL PARK
  • PAIUTE TRAIL
  • ANTELOPE CANYON (Page, Arizona)

This trip will include:

  • SALT LAKE CITY
  • MOAB
  • ARCHES NATIONAL PARK
  • ESCALANTE NATIONAL MONUMENT
  • BRYCE CANYON
  • ZION NATIONAL PARK
  • SEDONA, ARIZONA

Come along for the adventure with us. Enjoy our journal entries and our pictures. We look forward to your comments and, if you have been to Utah, we would love to hear your stories as well.

Happy trails,

Terri
