Until we meet Again…

Hagoonea ('Good-bye' in Navajo)

Hagoonea ('Good-bye' in Navajo)

All good things must come to an end, is how the story usually goes. However; I would rather look at it as- all good things will only get better…on the next trip. These past two weeks have been some of the most memorable, and at times, bittersweet in recent memory. I was able to share my love of Utah with my Aunt and Uncle and with my little brother Gregory…and in a moment of dreamlike reality I said good-bye to our beloved Brandi. I gained more confindence in my fear of heights by hiking some of the most amazing trails on this planet, and I spread the remaining ashes of my mother. I’ve seen the most beautiful night skies I have ever laid eyes upon, and I jumped into a pool as cold as ice. I ate cactus fries, and drank the best margaritas in the west. I drove our jeep up an almost verticle hill, and I had the most amazing couples massage. I’ve laughed with my family, and I’ve shed tears at loss and at seeing spectacular beauty. Yes, this was a trip to remember, to cherish, to try and recreate again, and again, and again…And in the words of the late Chris McCandless I will leave you with these last words…”Happiness isn’t real unless it is shared.”
